Rare Colonial era Hot Punch Taps.  These taps were made and used by blacksmith to form threads in early square nuts.  Such nuts were used to hold drawer pulls on chest of drawers, door latches, hold two parts of a candlestick together, and punch and tap the holes in gun locks.  There was no standard design for thread pitch and the number of threads per inch.  All the threads were hand filed by the blacksmith.  Hot punch sets like these are nearly impossible to find.  One set has a missing tap and a tap that has been broken.  A talented blacksmith could reproduce these two items.  However, for historical purposes, these two should be left as is.
